In September 2009, Lily Zhou and Joe Zhou joined forces to bring Lily’s American Diner to life. Originally from a small, remote town in Anhui Province, Lily had long nurtured the dream of running her own restaurant. Joe, meanwhile, brought over a decade of culinary experience as a chef in Beijing.
Both Lily and Joe had built strong connections with various Western restaurants across the city. Inspired by their deep exposure to Western cuisine, they set out to create an authentic American dining experience right in the heart of Beijing.
